A storm of love

T-shirts and shorts are standard attire,

For days so long and nights this warm.

Flames dance high from a beach bonfire,

Where teenagers gather like an insect swarm.

Beach Boys tribute band, a holiday must.

Kokomo played as their gazes met.

Tequila and rum fueled the lust

Of a passion so strong, neither would forget.

The ocean breeze cools their sweat-soaked skin,

Hearts pound loud like a beating drum.

The question taunts their hearts within;

Will this Summer love survive Autumn?
