A poem of a poet speaks a million images
Crumble and throw, what we call poetry scrimmages
A scar unfortunately will never truly heal
When they see it, they’ll feast on you like a three course meal
We all want what we can’t have, feels sad
We know this but still fight for it even when we’re mad
It hurts deep down, especially when you know you’re being played
Even more when you feel like the person in the mirror is who you betrayed
Protect the soul, and protect the heart
The mind is the one that you will need to set apart
Thoughts into the clouds, but you can erase at any time
Trick or treat is what you’re feeding yourself when you risk your pastime
We bleed emotions, from anger to overjoyed
You do this, that, and the third for people that you should avoid
Everyone to you will lie including family, s*** pumps anxiety
And none will believe that you won’t cause the labels that were given by society
Don’t get ahead of yourself or rush, take it from a vet
Dealt with so much, time heals everything but in the moment you’ll feel nothing but regret
Sometimes you might even wish for a black soul
Especially when the bad overcrowds the good, but that’s not the goal
Risk the good, so you’ll never be left out alone in the cold
A minimal amount in this world have a true heart of gold
Not plated, refined pure and minted from a genuine place
But at the end of the day you can turn evil and do everything right back in their face.
