Say goodbye to yesterday
The words you can’t unsay
The actions you can’t reverse
Relax, it won’t get worse
Loosen your grip on perfection
Stop wasting time on rejection
Your past is old, but your future is young
Release the words from the tip of your tongue
Hope rises from the ashes of your fears,
Joy washes away the sorrow of your years
Dance to the rhythm that guides your soul
Mending the pieces of you until you are whole
Say goodbye to yesterday
Let the bruises fade away
Ignore what you feel you didn’t do right
Leave it behind in the dark hours of the night.
