Save Me

In fields of green, where wildflowers sway,

A maiden fair, with sorrow's stain,

Didst cry out, in anguish and dismay,

"Save me, oh savior, from this pain!"

Her heart, a vessel of pure grace,

Didst beat with hope, yet filled with fear,

Her eyes, like stars, didst shine so bright,

Yet wept with tears, in the dead of night.

The wind, it whispered through the trees,

A gentle lullaby of ease,

But brought no solace to her plight,

For her heart, it was a heavy sight.

In dreams, she saw a savior true,

With arms outstretched, and eyes of blue,

He came to her, in her darkest hour,

And saved her from the power of her pain.

And so, she woke, with a heart full light,

And in the dawn, her sorrow took flight,

For in his love, she found her strength,

And in his arms, her soul found rest.
