Summertime has come and gone
Autumn now dancing on its grave,
Making merry with multicolored leaves and anthropomorphized gourds—
Halloween, a beacon of light in the ever-darkening days,
A celebration of life entwined in the gruesome traditions of the afterlife—
It invites out our creativity, our inner muses, and entices us to delight,
Never-ending marriage of festivity and death.
