Out of the ashes and into the now

having sought many answers to the "why" and the "how"

my path made straight, and the strength now bestowed

a new mighty wall being built and not bowed

beauty for ashes and ashes of love

shower of blessings that rains from Above

and while I do know that Hope is before me

I won't be fooled in this part of my story

for before I would think that the worst was well past

but now I do know that hard work has to last

throughout my life, day in and day out

no excuses, or lies, or feelings of doubt

for now I know in this battle I am not alone

for there are others who fight, and seeds of hope they have sown

so please enlarge my steps Lord so that I do not stumble

and with my focus maintained my assignment I won't fumble
