Run Girl, Run

Run Girl, Run

By Malika YoungPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Run Girl, Run

She wanted to be a man in disguise

Paid right

Total autonomy of her body

She wanted to be a dandelion

To fly freely

To be blown into the world

She wanted to be rich

An executive of a business

A dazzling array of shoes

She wanted to be the President

Have her name on treaties

Rule the world

But, he refused to be her supporter

So, instead, she ran

Run girl, run

She sprung herself into the glass ceiling—
