Rudeness

A poem about being disrespectfully rude

Rudeness comes in many forms.

A kind of disrespect.

A kind of hateful anger

directed at individuals

with no idea what they've

done or why it can

enthrall a being

to bestow behaviorally

bad manners

upon bodies,

kind human beings

who put themselves out,

who help others in need.

Instead they

spit in your face

and brandish

disrespect,

dishonoring,

hating you.

What reason do they have?

Why do they behave with such hatred?

Perhaps, they are suffering and need help?

Perhaps, they feel unable to live life calmly?

They must learn to

shape their anger,

to control it, sustain it,

and not throw it around

like a grumbling spat.

Instead,

harness it,

keep it wrapped

around your neck

like a chain.

Do not let it

become your voice

do not let it define you.

Instead,

be a respectful human,

throw negativity

into the trash

like a harsh crash.

Rude

disrespect

running through

your veins.

Make it leave,

make it stop.

Think of kindness.

Disrespectful anger

will sit like dirt

in your soulless soul.

Life's negativity

will take hold.

Nothing will be perfect

without control.

Calmly live each day

with respect

like it's a light,

a radiance

upon the mind

that you'll find

when kind.

So, to those who release

rudeness, disrespect,

and anger,

learn to manage it

before fouling it

onto sufferers.

Think before you speak.

Think before you breathe.

Think before you devour

your swelling tongue.

Silence the rudeness,

silence the anger,

silence the hatred,

silence the evil within,

but let kindness

shower you

letting it pour

its positivity

onto the earth

onto your skin

letting it sing.
