Roots that Rise to Meet the Sky

journey from root to sky

Not just anchored, in earthen clasp,

Roots that whisper, stories grasp.

Downward thrust, a hidden might,

Gathering wisdom, through darkest night.

Twining tendrils, brave and bold,

Embrace the clay, in stories told.

Nourished secrets, sunlit rain,

Pushing past, to break the strain.

Through cracks and stones, they surge and climb,

Seeking solace, in open time.

Emerge at last, with verdant grace,

Branches reaching, for sky's embrace.

Leaves unfurl, in emerald prayer,

Catching whispers, on sunlit air.

Each scar a badge, of battles won,

Roots that rise, till darkness done.

So rise, dear soul, with steadfast spine,

Let your roots find, the light divine.

In struggles deep, find strength unbound,

And stand as tall, where hope is found.

For even shadows, cannot hold,

The spirit free, in stories told.

Rise with roots, that pierce the sky,

Embrace the sun, and learn to fly.
