Think outside the box
But stay within their lines
Awareness brings a birds-eye view
Of the purgatory
To which we find ourselves confined
A mime, a puppet
Self-abandonment at their expense
It’s in this toxic la-la-land
We play ignorance pretend
Awareness seeds the hidden truth
Planted projections, manifested desires to escape-
those determined to confine us
When puppets can’t be tamed
Ego-rooted perspectives unwilling to change
Trying to fit a puzzle
With a missing piece, to no avail
Growth reveals such a piece was always inside
Her shapes of self-love prevail
