Room

Call it what you will, it keeps us standing strong against the darkness.

There is room for space

between the places

we exist within.

.

There is a life within the silence

between the words.

.

There is a rest found only at night

between each sunrise.

.

There is a hope in between

each defeat

that sometimes soils

.

the journey to find

our true state

of belonging.

.

There is a reason for the marrow

in our bones

.

that keeps us standing.

.

There is a strength

that comes from the resolve

to resist the darkness.

.

You can call it different things.

It's ok. You can choose not

to believe,

it believes in you.

.

You can choose to venture

towards

various paths

.

but if you walk the journey well

.

you always end

.

at home.
