Road of hope
.
When you've lost your road of HOPE
She'll know exactly how you feel
PUSH her away, close yourself in a box
Drown your emotions, disappear in a bottle
Cry yourself to SLEEP, wait for tomorrow
Walk in the sun, burn in the fire
Of your pain,
Fall in the water, swim in her ocean
Climb on the SHORE, pretend she's not there
Struggle your whole life
Run away into nothing
Smoke too MANY cigarettes
Play the same song too many times
Take everything you know, throw it ALL away
Look back on the past, wish you could stay forever
Listen to the wind CRY her name
Let the rain cover your tears
Know she loves you, just NOT TONIGHT
Forget the memories, fall asleep to dream
Whisper her name in the dark, think of a better time
Say goodbye, SCREAM hello
Drive alone in the dark, have nowhere to go
Stand under the moon, wait for peace
Walk in the hurricane, blow AWAY in the storm
Lose your mind, live in the asylum
Of your pain,
Run DOWN the street to her house
Stand in the middle of the road
Have so MANY things to say, just walk away
Never say a word, hate every step you take
Stare at the SKY, watch it fall
Count the stars, curse the night
Know one day, you'll be okay, just NOT TODAY
Ask for answers, to questions, tearing you apart
Take your heart, BREAK every piece
Pick yourself up, refuse to move on
Stand alone, ask her memory WHY
Walk in the past, disappear in the fog
Of your pain,
Take a breath, let her go the LAST time
Finally realize, that
CHANGES have made you sad
but
Time is HEALING your wounds
