Ringing out for Peace

C9

By James GreenPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

Beyond the land, the people played; they wished for the sun, so the sun did stay.

As they played, they gasped with glee; the day was warm, and they were free.

"Not long to go." A boy shouted out.

"Not long indeed." A girl shouted back as she danced around and then fell on her back.

A noise rang out that stirred them with cheer; it was the sound of bells that filled the air and their ears.

Where the bells were not a person could see. They were happily thankful and sat down peacefully.

For the rest of the day, no movement occurred, no word from the people, unperturbed.
