the sound of his voice

and the touch of his hands

everyday- a part of me

voluntarily i listen

to every note

sung until-

that great chariot comes

to sweep me away

no no- nothing i can do

the hands that hold me now

will hold me on the day

we are reunited in a different life

and somewhere along the way

we will live a thousand- no

a million breaths together

i can't let myself leave him

his hands always coax me in

even when i wasn't his to hold

even now i am his

forever and repeat until death

till death do us part
