Sometimes it surprises me
How well you know me
That while I’m busy learning you
Your likes, dislikes
Mannerisms distinctly you
You are busy doing the same to me
That you can tell how long a day was
By the way I hang my coat
Or which shirt I want to buy
Before I even see it
Or the exact joke I’m going to make
Before I open my mouth
I love knowing little things about you
The fact that I have to be paying attention
To learn them at all
But even more, I love
That you are seeing me
The same as I see you
