Raptor in the Front Yard
My son through the bird eggs were raptor eggs
When my son was but only two
His heart so young and sweet.
He loved dinosaurs more than anything.
Oh what joy they would bring.
One day when he was ay play
In the frontyard he did find
Eggs of blue sitting right in view.
He exclaimed,"Rapor eggs, raptor eggs."
What are we to do?
He had no clue!
He wanted so badly for there to be raptors
Protecting our yard.
He was so young and thought it was fun.
We let him believe there were raptor eggs in the front yard.
But, these were good raptors.
They were his guardians
And protected him from harm.
He loved the idea
Everyone had to play along
Grandma, grandpa, mom and dad
All agreed there were guardian raptors in the front yard.
