Puzzle Pieces
Put it back together
A common puzzle piece
Uncommon puzzled life
The greater perfect picture
Shattered by the strife
A million puzzle pieces
All running round in fear
No one stops the bloodshed
No one dries the tears
To see the bigger picture
And every shade and hue
Just a piece that's missing
Distorts the final view
Let's put it back together
And make the fighting cease
For all the warring countries
It's just a missing peace.
(This was originally written in 1998 about international conflicts and terrorism, both foreign and domestic. Peace will only come when our love for others is greater than our fear.)
