misery-able lives start or end, causal, gene-rational

do we have POWer over/it? Do we?

Are we curs###-ed? Are we?

posi+ive thinking - finding good in bad, finding light in dark

can't cure a negat-ve dec.imatel world

negat-ve thinking - pragmatism, deepression, realism, deepression

can't sully a posi+ive proton mind

predisposed to my-isery or happening-i-ness

finding joy in the du(joy)ll, the dis-posable(joy)mal

is that really joy? Is it?

when bad (sad no sign of glad) outweighs the good (brood, you know we should)

nice sunset in a poisoned warld

not some some some thing to marvel at

reason to survive the smash*ed c-gl-ass-ic outcome

when poison blots out that sun###-set

strawberry-laced with ricin and nicotine

Omg, you are insane(ly) clever. Can't fathom the amount of though that must've gone into this. I also love the aesthetic of it😂, feels like it should be written on old, faded paper and discovered in a treasure hunt. This feels shakespearean. You are very very talented

  • Wow!😮 What an amazing poem! Especially at 5:30am!😵‍💫🙃… I just waved my daughter off to work and spent the next 20 minutes analysing your poem… exercising rare mindfulness… decoding, finding the prompts & googling ricin! 😅 ‘finding joy in the du(joy)ll, the dis-posable(joy)mal’… was a challenge at this time of day 🧐… fantastic effort… love it. I wish I thought of blaming Poppy for my poem… the strawberries made me do it, I promise!

  • (*)*(*) Boobies 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 My eyes and head hurt to read that, lol! But it was really creative. I loved it, Sir Paul! A very Paulitical poem!

Going out on a limb, here, but I’m guessing Zen is not your thingo, Paul. The sound of one hand clapping is silence in case anyone is wondering. This felt like a (very) modern take on Voltaire’s Candide. You imprinted the philosophy of mindfulness within the harsh reality of the world as it is. Voltaire’s philosopher fool (Pangloss) and his apprentice Candide wander through carnage, madness and mindless brutality singing the praises of this, the most perfect of all worlds. A brilliant and relentless piece of satire. I hope you don’t mind the comparison to Voltaire. He’s definitely not Wordsworth. If you have not read Candide, I recommend checking it out. Because it’s considered a great book, it’s easy to find the text online.

  • A prompt & apt response to conflicting thoughts & clashing madness.

This draws you in in the best way. I love the playing about with words and meanings.

You have such a talent for creating visually compelling pieces, Paul! This both captured the essence of and was itself a puzzle! 🧩

I think I just went insane. Either that, or one of us is messed up. Quite possibly me. More likely you. 😁 seriously though, I enjoyed thus, in a messed in the head, or wacked out on acid sort of way.
