I don’t need you to give me a diamond ring
To show me how much you really do care,
It means very little to me of how you look
Or on your style and what clothes you wear.

I never said I needed a circus clown
To make me laugh when I’m feeling blue,
It doesn’t need you to be wealthy or rich
For you to be able to prove your love is true.

There is only one real honest to goodness way
To convince me wholeheartedly that you care,
It’s the simple wish for you to be yourself
And from this day on, keep on being there.
