Jealousy, a poison so vile

A feeling that burns, like a raging fire

It eats away, at the soul so dire

A heart so heavy, with a love so dire

The green-eyed monster, it takes hold

A mind that wanders, in a world so cold

A heart that aches, with a tale so old

Jealousy, a pain that's hard to hold

The moments so sweet, now turned bitter

A love once cherished, now just litter

The memories so pure, now felt like a quitter

Jealousy, a pain that's hard to glitter

The dreams we had, now lay shattered

A heart so heavy, with a love so battered

The moments so pure, now felt so tattered

Jealousy, a pain that's hard to matter

The tears fall like rain, from eyes that see

A heart now broken, a soul that can't be

The weight of sorrow, a burden too steep

Jealousy, a pain that cuts so deep

The nights so quiet, with a heart so loud

A mind that races, with no place to shroud

The world so cold, with no one to crowd

Jealousy, a pain that's hard to outgrow

But in the end, it's love that prevails

A heart that heals, when all else fails

The weight of jealousy, a love that trails

A soul once lost, now set to sail
