They knew better than to run far,

They weren’t going to get away,

Their father was a man of strict rules that were hardly bent,

But this time they were done, and so they ran.

They weren’t going to get away,

Their older sister had told them many times,

Their father was a man of strict rules that were hardly bent,

He had eyes and ears everywhere.

Their older sister had told them many times,

She had tried before them,

He had eyes and ears everywhere,

They knew better than to run far.
