When we took that road trip to SUNY Potsdam

I swear with every fiber of my body

we were living out a memory

where we had nobody to answer to

not a single boss to hear and obey

just blink 182 on the aux

sharing a coke

and the wind in our hair

something was definitely in the air

freedom splashed our vision

into a myriad of whims

i was ready to die at any moment

prepared to defy gravity, death, and age

we were so goddamn free

not a single want

and had everything we need

inspired by a road trip 8 hours north of home
