anticipation; as white- hot, lightning flashes

storm clouds forming, nestled over me

the prospect of new love, but ashes

*

change, illusive, a visual illusion to the masses

perception is of self reliant needs

anticipation; as white- hot, lightning flashes

*

painted smiles, show but half the weakness

the other implies-translucency

the prospect of new love, but ashes

*

the raven sits quietly, watching with stoic glances

as the wolf hides away, in the shadows of the reeds

anticipation; as white- hot, lightning flashes

*

friendly the faces, guarding their aces

prioritized agendas, planting seeds

the prospect of new love, but ashes

*

my opinion of relationships, through rose-colored glasses

a villanelle of some villainous thieves

anticipation; as white- hot, lightning flashes

the prospect of new love, but ashes
