Pink-Tinted Glasses

lie to me

The time before was special

I look upon the past with my pink-tinted glasses

longing and desireful to return to my previous normalcy

Normalcy when I felt calm and peaceful

Now the winds and wells inside shake the stained tinted glass of my light tower

The glass is now cracked

I can feel my pink-tinted glasses becoming brittle

I'm afraid to see without the glass before me

Transparency is my enemy, without it, I can at least hope

I can see what I need to see

Buy me time while I wait for the moment I'm ready for transparency

Lie to me, for me

Come look through my pink-tinted glasses

sad poetry
