watching those grains of life,
pass,
thru the glass,
counting down your remaining time,
we give pennies,
for thoughts,
not me,
I want a dime!!
a penny’s worth,
doesn’t yield much,
but a dime,
gives something to touch!
and in this time,
over and over,
with rhyme,
my dime,
opens the door,
where want is for more;
and one thing is sure,
the penny thought,
will not have brought,
what the dime has begot;
so, watch the grains,
dare not glance away,
don’t be thieved of your dime,
when it’s only a penny,
you must pay!!
yet don’t ignore,
that open door,
or,
you’ll settle on a penny,
for your thoughts,
and nothing more!!

I enjoyed this so much, Moe! Such a great flow and message!
ABSOLUTELY ❤ it!
Oh, this is super clever!!!
Moe, this was a fun rhyming poem!!! Love it!!!
My thought was that you were gonna finish this poem with the ending line ghat they provided for the Arid Challenge! There you go! Where's my penny? No wait, I want a dime! Lol! Loved your poem!
This was great with nice slick rhymes! But I never fully understood that phrase! Still don’t. 😅😆
Should I pay ? or should I go ? maybe I should thought so ! Great poem ☺️!
I think this is a great poem. Very well-written. I'm thinking what my next one will be. Maybe I should have gone with fajitas tonight because I am stuffed from the pizza we ordered. Think I'll watch the Boondock Saints tonight when my hubby comes in. The time change is this weekend, isn't it? I hate time change, grrr. Wonder if this is a dime's worth or not?
Hey, that was really nice. Well done.
Hmmmm... I wonder what a buck's worth would be. Interesting train of thought here, buddy.
