Pennies Dropping

Broken Hearts

I thought pennies dropping where meant to make sense?

She told herself to stand up again and start from scratch

But how long can a heart on fire hide behind a fence

The fence a wall to hide her love

Once where the colours speckled so with light

Sleeping in a ball

She misses those laughs

Bodies sinking into each other

Imprints her heart forever

She questions how she got here

Though how could she resist

The warm voice that sounds like honey

That day the honey dripped into her heart

A train took her miles away

As she stared out the window

A movie soundtrack replayed

Tried to distract herself from what feels so right

The memories she will hold so tight

heartbreak
