Peeking through
You’ll rise again
Sun.
Where are you?
Come out and play, it’s time to rise and shine.
We all have.
Yet the clouds are rolling in.
Is it a sign of a sin that has done us all in?
No.
You’re peeking through.
Here and there.
Afraid that you’ll be scared.
We are all here giving you love and praise.
You give us warmth and we show it back.
As a gesture of thanks.
You let us play; relax, swim and in general enjoy the day.
Thank you.
We get it though.
We need the rain, the environment needs it,
We do too, to cool off.
We will see you again, when you start to peek through.
Until you're ready and feeling warm and bright again.
Bright enough to blaze and give us all a beautiful, joyful day.
When you’re ready. We will rise with you.
