Gleaming lanterns illuminate my path,
sculpted into the obscure; a bridge, a trail,
across the gentle meadows, it drifts.
Like a vibrant symphony, the way unfolds
toward an unknown crescendo.
Life is a mysterious puzzle to assemble.
We have no compass to navigate the chaotic dips and rises.
Only these flickering lanterns when
what’s needed is a luminous lighthouse to soar above it all.
A rustic clock to observe the passing of time,
sometimes ticking, sometimes tocking,
but never with nuclear precision.
Ancient forests whisper, and metallic cities clang.
A fragile mirror sends the echo of my reflection,
both ahead and behind
as I continue on my way.
