Parts of Me

If Only They Knew How Much I Worry

I lay awake at night,

Wondering and full of worry.

Thinking of things to come,

That will be the most beautiful heartbreak imaginable. A mother never the same.

Praying for a change of heart

In a seemingly devoid of emotion heart

Mind made up. Hoping two brothers do not lose another. Maybe that first glance...

I lay awake at night,

Wondering and full of worry,

Hoping my very first love will see

What wonderful and precious little eyes

Light up at the very sight of her.

I pray that same light guides her out of the darkness and to a better place than she's ever known.

I lay awake at night,

Wondering and full of worry,

Trying to get her to see what a beautiful soul she really is.

Not letting the opinions of others change who she is.

Accepting the wonderful fate of her absolute brilliance.

I lay awake at night,

Wondering and full of worry,

Instilling in him that he doesn't have to conform.

There is nothing wrong with being whomever he wants to be. Just because someone else doesn't agree. Love big
