Five little fingers
Five little toes
One was always there,
One was never home.
Something broke the place they called home.
Tears and late nights,
Mom and Dad got into a fight.
Broken hearts, empty promises,
Misused trust....
Nobody could stop it.
Five little fingers,
and five little toes,
got whisked away from that broken home....
Taken out into the great unknown.
A price had to be paid
For the recklessness that day,
Daddy felt alone, and Momma stopped prayin'.
"For better, or worse."
Were the vows they had taken.
Three young angels knew it was forsaken.
