Tell Me Something

That no one else knows.

By Obsidian WordsPublished 6 days ago 1 min read

Tell me something about you.

Something about me?

Yeah, something no one else knows.

Like what?

I dunno—something you've never said out loud.

Something I've never said out loud—

Yeah.

—I died once.

What.

I died once. Flatlined. Heart stopped. Lungs stopped. Everything.

How?

Does it matter?

What? Of course it matters?

Why?

Why?

Yeah, what does it matter how I died?

—I dunno, it just does.

But it doesn't. Not really. Fact is I died.

Yeah but—

What? You want to know if it was violent? If it was an accident?

I mean, yeah?

—It's not the same is it?

What?

Death, if you come back, it feels lesser.

I guess.

It didn't feel lesser.

What do you mean?

I mean just because I'm still alive, does not mean I'm not a ghost.
