Out of Nowhere
Where are you?
In what condition has it left my courage,
living in sympathy for cowards.
Have I been making their mistakes,
too afraid to make my own?
Am I so aware of my fragility
that I've convinced myself I'm broken.
Have I been made so weary,
that I haven't carried on?
Never allow life to let you feel as if you are a weak person,
You are a person who experiences moments of weakness.
Moments that require tremendous strength to overcome.
If you accept this mission, the hardships you experince will be immense.
At first they will harden you.
And then they will soften you.
And only after this will you realize how strong you truly are,
and just how triumphant you are meant to be.
They have tried their best to break you,
Your misery has gotten out of hand.
Life has never felt like a blessing,
You just do your best to stand.
This agony unknown to others,
Has been your closest friend.
You weep because your tears provide
The only warmth and comfort
Your heart can seem to find.
Can your spirit take the flight it needs
To send you far and wide.
Somewhere beyond the light of day
Where you can truly shine.
Where do you find yourself on your journey?
What fashion of wisdom do you seek?
Are you reliving the same old story, told time and time again?
Are you repeating it out of habit,
Or do the ropes of fear hold you shorebound,
As threat of finally reaching that end still keeps you from diving in.
It is not loneliness you choose,
But instead isolation.
Not out of the the loosely buried excuse of old habits,
Rather out of the as yet unreached need to deepen your understanding of self through tireless discovery.
You cannot reach the darkest depths of yourself in good company.
That territory must be conquered alone.
If you do not yet know yourself,
How can you expect to show who you are to someone else?
For the purpose of companionship,
Is to explore the depths of each other
Alongside one another.
Never buried, never burdened, neverendeing, always forward.
Are you ready?
Dive on in.
