To make friends
People you don’t see
Face to face
But you still chat
Every day
It lets you know
You are not alone
You have someone
To talk to
About your troubles
Because we are all braver
Behind a screen
This has become a new normal
In this modern world
It fills in the boredom
When you have nothing to do
It is a fun experience
Talking to different people
With different cultures
And different experiences
Learning about others past
What they do for a living
Or what they study
Learning about other people’s
hopes and dreams
Learning so much
About other humans
That is a beautiful thing
The internet can do
