Rain clouds fill the sky
Colouring it grey
The sky has an appeal to it
It looks nice
But knowing rain is coming
I stay inside
Because I like to stay dry
Don’t get me wrong
I love the rain
It helps to sustain life
As the clouds release the rain
It creates a beautiful symphony
It makes me feel safe
And it makes me feel calm
Somehow it is a reminder for me
That everything is going to be alright
It drowns out the noises in my mind
Which helps me think clearly
The rain washes all of my worries away
And cleanses my soul
