storm clouds loom on the horizon

a smell of change floats in the air

a new day is arising

as we wait unaware

of what lurks in the distance

the eclipse of new moons

willed into existence

from our self-made cocoons

the dampness stirs our composure

moving us into action

making wishes on clovers

creating brief distractions

waiting for luck to arrive

find your fortune in cookies

papercuts verify you're alive

prove yourself like a rookie

reviving compassion

the thrill of good deeds

leaving you to imagine

what it all really means
