Stood on sound bridges, as the lump burning in my throat enflames every plank

You want to be in love, so god damn bad, says her innocent heart

Sometimes life mirrors a plot diagram, there are wonderful beginnings

she says confidently

Let there be a next time, with the next guy, wise up

Burn all the boats, that stay afloat, as I white water raft down the river of accountability

You want to be in love, so god damn bad, says his ingenuous heart

Sometimes life mirrors a plot diagram, there are reasons to start a journey, he says sanguinely

Let there be another time, with another girl, wake up

Frequently his inner cynic asks, what the fuck are you doing bro?

Assuredly ups and downs, are not the end all be all, my inner woman insists

Occasionally his insecurities shout, she treats you like this, is because you let her

My waves of tears flow in concern-

Hookah pipe dreams, leave smoke in my eyes like glazed doughnuts

Consistently his inner man of doubt mumbles, what are you still doing here?

You think there are not ten other guys in her email telling her how beautiful she is-

Consumed by his self-loathing, that leaves darker circles than black coffee rings

Hourly hands of lives clock tick away, a mind fuck is sprung

Spending time with you is never a loss, like a cog in one’s machine

Considering falling action there is always a resolution.

The heat from our kisses would be able to fog mirror, knowing were alive

The two take a long (hard) look in the reflection of one another’s eyes where they'd be without each other?
