Poetry about hurt

Time does not heal all wounds

It merely softens the pain

And blurs the memories

I never really cared about it

But you were the only one I cared for

Even if the sun slips through my fingers

I still try to grasp it in my hands

As if I’m reaching for you

The moon shines brightly in the lonely night

I feel like you are watching from afar

But you left and you’re gone

I cried and broke every night

For a moment, I felt like I was dying

You hurt my heart so much

I whispered to the moon about you

And how desperately I wanted to be

Numb again.

Because without you, I’m nothing.
