My kid is not target practice

Her heart is not bullet proof

In my thoughts about ensuring her return

Let sweating bullets ensue

In leu of school shooting tragedies

Children gone too soon

Send her with bulletproof backpacks inserts

Against a rifle is no use

Vested in her protection sure as a gun

Prayin’ she makes it home safely daily

Throwing out lack of gun laws stricter than violation of rights,

like bullseye secession of sanctions

give me a break with this right to bear arms

when losing a child or parent is unbearable

a child has the right to a safe space

a teacher has the right to a safe work environment

guns are for protection, not for funeral precessions
