Northern Light
She walks where maple shadows lie, Beneath a wide and wistful sky, A whisper caught in pine-tree hush— The north wind bends but does not rush.

Northern Light
Snowflakes write poems in her hair,
Each step a verse, each breath a prayer,
She is the fire in frozen air,
The quiet grace of those who dare.
Mountains watch her, lakes reflect
A soul both fierce and circumspect,
Canada’s daughter, wild and free,
Rooted deep as cedar tree.
