The sun descends, a fiery kiss,
Goodnight it bids, the world to dismiss.
A cloak of twilight, soft and deep,
Embraces all, while shadows creep.
The moon ascends, a pearl so bright,
Stars peek and wink, with gentle light.
A symphony of crickets' chirp,
As silence reigns, with gentle stir.
The city sleeps, in slumber deep,
Streetlights cast a watchful peep.
A lonely owl, on silent wing,
Its haunting call, the night does sing.
Dreams take flight, on wispy breeze,
While worries hush, beneath the trees.
A time for rest, a time to mend,
Night's gentle touch, until the end.
