Cold air kisses the tips of their ears. The leaves on the trees gently sway.
The sliver of silver high up in the sky announces the end of the day.
Arms entwined, the lovers snuggle upon a garden seat.
Lilac fills the garden air with perfume thick and sweet.
The bobbles on their hats kiss as both their heads tip back
To watch the scattered diamonds in a sky of velvet black.
The lovers watch the tiny stars connect to tell their tales
Of love and hate and war and peace and all that that entails.
The lovers kiss, content their love will never, ever die
Just like the myths and legends forever written in the sky.
