The pixelated mess
Transformed the natural
Blurring trees
With the metal
And crumbling the structure
Created by ritual.
We believed a return
Would come with
Changing tides
And the growth
Of the moon
We came to love.
But we were wrong,
Devastation fell
Supported by papers
And bloody signatures
That signed away
Life force after life force
With the promise
Of honor and Value.
We fell victim
To the lies and deception
Of green bills
Waved in front of our faces,
When we should have let
The green leaves grow
And the ocean swell.
