Nature Revealed

A veiled mist descends all around
as faces disappear from sight,
even shadows seem to fade away
deprived of life giving sunlight.
Without purpose or direction
blind to be should be of concern
in order for a successful life
unaware of things to be learned.

Finding direction is often difficult
when not sure where roads lead
trust the journey to be rewarding
although success isn't guaranteed.
With happenstance and pitfalls
wondering if worth the trouble
to look beyond life's deception
and discover just what's possible.

Lifting the veil of disillusionment
to see what truth lies beyond,
the limits of yesterday's dreams
scattered like lilies upon a pond.
Floating atop the water's surface
while it's roots lie deep below,
connected by a strand of green
which provides nutrients to grow.

Even as past and future are linked
by a future of fate's design,
leading to places and situations
many of which are unrefined.
With changes coming over time
as species develop and learn
beccoming part of a greater purpose
upon a wheel that does turn.

In a future not yet esrtablished
somewhere beyond horizon's edge,
seen often as sprawling landscapes
when upon a mountain ledge.
Looking out across the valley below
covered in a layer of mist,
until sunlight makes it disappear
and other worlds are found to exist.
