after the creation of the world

he remained in a serene state,

mostly,

except for the times

when the gods needed him

or when his beloved left the world

to keep his respect.

Natraj

Mahadev

Lord Shiva,

waiting for his final dance

to open his 3rd eyes

for releasing the fire of destruction,

unless we humans can prolong his awaking

by being spiritually uplifted, carrying humanity.

Shiva is one of the gods of the holy trinity (Trimurti; the other gods are Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu) of Hinduism. As per the Hinduism belief, Brahma created the world, Vishnu is maintaining the world, and Shiva will be the destroyer of the world when it requires a regeneration to end the evils and start building new. (Source: Ancient History Encyclopedia; plus, I’m a Hindu by birth, so learned the tales from our holy books and my family).
