My heart and this world
Do not see eye to eye,
Because my heart says I can,
But the world says don't even try.
My heart says keep going,
You can do anything.
The world says you'll fail,
Just give up on your dreams.
The world tells me I'm wrong,
That I'm stupid and I'm dumb.
But my heart says don't listen.
My heart says to drive on.
The world will fight you
And watch you burn down to ash.
It will beat and abuse you
And treat you like trash.
But if you dare to follow your heart
And be steadfast and true,
You might be surprised by
What you and your heart just might do.
So, when the world says, “don't try
And you'll fail at all things,”
Choose to follow your heart.
Choose to follow your dreams.
Who knows, you might just surprise yourself on what you can do…

Soul Tied
The sun rises in the forest again peeking through the greyness of the clouds in the sky. The same grey as the chain that still lays around my neck. The year is 3000, 2999 is officially over only it didn't end as expected. I suppose we should've known better though. People had the same thoughts in 1999. Fearing the world would possibly end simply because of a new number. Quite ironic actually we used to fear the end of the world we welcome it now.
