Sometimes it’s all a jumble. Scattered thoughts boucing around with a mind of their own.
What grows from these seeds of thought pushing up through the soil are hardly ever what I perceived at first.
My brain, a constantly changing landscape of organic synapses. Firing off random thoughts with what I perceive as no control.
Who, is steering this ride?
What prompted my brain to pop off like this? If you only knew half of what goes on in here you’d most likely take a step back at the least. Following some unwritten guide to safe distances from unstable beings. No closer examination needed, thanks...
And so it goes, like an overwound clock this carny ride has again gone off the tracks.
Ending up in tall grass.
Somehow happy.

What traditions are you most thankful for and why? Rupi Kaur's Gratitude Writing Prompts 1. Enormous Gratitude for the return of religious freedom for American Indians in 1978. The same year I got into recovery. That year I could smudge, go into the sweat lodge, attend full-moon ceremony, pipe ceremony, wiping of tears ceremony, and others.
