Earth has Father Sun and Mother Moon,
Curious Givers of such a Light Festoon.
Launching off in patterns, sparks, and phases,
I (earth) am left to wonder...this spectacle amazes.
Partitioning Sun's time, Mama Moon steps hence,
Surrounds me with totality, in her motherly defense.
Eternally as strong as Father Sun and without pretense.

Although Fathers are oftentimes portrayed as strong and bold, Mothers are usually seen as being in the background providing care and nurture. But there are times when Mother is even stronger, even in her muted light. There are some things that a child can only tell their mother, where their secrets and dreams are best kept.
