what if

i lived for a time

that one time

that the moon glitters

on a black sky.

it needs to be so black

so the orbit

with no light of its own

can smile.

what if i closed my eyes

to the sunshine

and the stars

and Venus and Mars

because i am her child

i am looking for my light.

i have drowned my soul

in oceans of darkness

broken my heart

like stardust

so maybe i can see me.

I felt this. I love how it doesnt need to be contextualized to be understood. We share an experience and i feel that makes us sisters in some way. Thank u for sharing Sara 💕

A very powerful poem, Sara! Was it inspired by a specific situation?
