Moon Bathe

it's a comforting feeling, like the warmth of the sun on your skin, but in your soul.

Water Lilies, Claude Monet, 1916

why bathe in sunlight

when you can bathe in mother moon's glow

when she reveals herself whole

you have no choice but to look at her

for just like the sun

the moon shines through even the grimmest

the saddest, of clouds

most never say, look how bright the sun is

most always say, look how bright the moon is

moon bathe

i battle the demons from the day

and befriend them at night

i find myself looking at her

wide eyed at all her mystery

it's a comforting feeling

like the warmth of the sun on your skin

but in your soul

moon bathe
