People running for money, day and night,
In pursuit of survival, they lose sight,
Of the beauty and joy that surrounds,
The love and kindness that abounds.
Blinded by the need for wealth and gain,
They forget the simple pleasures of life’s game,
The laughter of children, the warmth of sun,
The comfort of friends, the beauty of fun.
Money becomes their sole obsession,
The measure of worth, their sole possession,
Forgetting that true riches are found,
In the beauty of love that abounds.
So, take a breath, and look around,
See the blessings that in life abound,
Chase your dreams, but don't forget,
The beauty of life that we should never neglect.
